London, CANADA- This submission was sent in by Faly Mevamanana who wrote this song for the Grand Theatre’s theatre for young audiences show Juno’s Reward, as part of their “100 Schools Tour”. The writer and director of the show, Megan Watson, had each of the actors write a song for their characters and this was Faly’s!

Description taken from The Grand Theatre’s website:

London hosted the Juno Awards in March of 2019. The biggest night in Canadian music has inspired big dreams for one London student: Juno. Juno is a young girl who loves music, and YouTube influencers, and dreams of becoming a star one day. She befriends her school’s new custodian, and they bond over their shared love of music. When a last minute school assignment results in Juno going viral online, her accidental fame has some unintended consequences. Juno’s Reward is filled with music, and features a cast of three performers: Natalia Gracious, Stephen Ingram, and Faly Mevamanana. This new play, developed through the COMPASS New Play Development Program, is a celebration of Canadian music and the brilliance and talent of our region’s students.

Juno's Reward is presented as part of the Grand's 100 Schools Program. This initiative brings professional theatre to 100 elementary schools in London and area at no cost.

The tour of Juno’s Reward has been cancelled due to social distancing measures, so she never go to perform it for her friends and family! Thanks for the submission, Faly!
