Why Art Matters During COVID-19

Hobart, AUSTRALIA - Stephanie Jack is an actor and creator who until the outbreak of COVID-19 was based in Shanghai studying Chinese and Kung Fu. She was making a video series called Mixed Up which explored being mixed race (Chinese and white) and living in China. When she returned to Australia, she created a video in collaboration with performers and artists in six different countries. They discuss ways to stay creative in isolation, and the books, music, and shows that are speaking to them at this time. They are concerned about how the arts industry will survive this crisis; the final part of the video suggests ways you can continue to support the arts right now.
