Houston Contemporary Dance Company

Houston, USA- In its inaugural season, the Houston Contemporary Dance Company aims to produce work drawn upon a tradition of inclusiveness and diversity. They are committed to employing a wide range of high caliber performers and choreographers not only from Texas, but from all over the country. Unfortunately they had to postpone their April 4th concert to May 30th due to COVID19.

Marlana Doyle is the executive and artistic director as well as the founder of the company. She created this stunning piece entitled “Falling” for their first annual concert in December.

Marlana says:

The Company in its first season hopes to sustain past this crazy time as so much is at stake for people to feel comfortable again to go out and see dance concerts and any arts concert. In setting high technical and artistic standards with traditional concert performances, Houston Contemporary will currently be the only repertory dance company to provide Houston audiences with opportunities to view works created by some of America’s most exciting dance makers that speak to and are representative of the full spectrum of Houston’s diverse populace.
