Big Samir of The Reminders].” It’s a Spanglish pop song about gun violence and police brutality. The song weaponizes joy through pop music and puts it to use in the fight for social justice. Lolita’s song “Toda Mi Gente,” has gained recognition in one of Colorado's most notable music publications ‘Denver Westword,’ as the "Best Anti-fascist Anthem of 2019.” She was also a finalist in the International Songwriter Competition in 2019. Since the pandemic, Lolita’s focus has shifted to live stream performances and has challenged her to get creative with the way she interacts with fans.
