London, UNITED KINGDOM - This play was sent to us by the playwright and director of the piece, Simona Hughes. Recorded on Zoom with a small group of wonderful actors, this new and relevant play was supposed to be performed at the 2020 Vault Festival in London from March 18-22 before the entire event was cancelled due to social distancing. Give it a watch! Who doesn’t love a new play?!

Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - We love new work, and we are so excited that playwright Rebecca Bauer submitted this piece! This video features Rebecca and actor Jacob Sheffield performing an excerpt from Inside my Head, a new play that was developed through Expect Theatre’s Beats & Intentions Unit. Unfortunately the final presentation of this unit was cancelled due to social distancing.

Atlanta, Georgia, USA - This video was submitted to us by Julia Appleton, the composer The Yellow Wallpaper, the Musical. This new show was set to premiere at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta for a one night only presentation as part of a Festival of New Works at the Woodruff Arts Center, but this Festival was cancelled due to social distancing. Julia, and the playwright, Hannah Church had worked for 12-months at the Alliance Theatre through the Reiser Lab, and this presentation was supposed to be a culmination of that developmental process.

London/Toronto, CANADA - Folks all over were eagerly anticipating the opening of Grow (Book-Matt Murray; Music-Colleen Dauncey; Lyrics-Akiva Romer Segal) at the Grand Theatre in London, ON. This was a show with BUZZ, having been developed at the prestigious Canadian Music Theatre Project and the Goodspeed Festival of New Musicals, and it sadly had to be postponed. Thats why we were so thrilled when the team made this video for The Social Distancing Festival (video credit- Fred Miller III). Check out The One I Choose, sung by composer Colleen Dauncey.
