Philadelphia, UNITED STATES - In honour of Beethoven’s 250th birthday, the Philadelphia Orchestra, in partnership with the Gabriela Lena Frank Creative Academy of Music, was set to perform four new compositions that were in conversation with the work of Beethoven. While some pieces, such as Iman Habibi’s Jeder Baum spricht (in the video above) were played to an empty house, others never got to be played at all. Composer and pianist Iman Habibi was he kind enough to send a video of his great work along to us.

Instead, Cipriano has posted a rehearsal of his show: a political cabaret that is a musical commentary on the society we live in today. The main character Mr. Mundane, is thrown into a world of numb ritual and consequently looses his mind. This song ,”Jizz Jazz,” is a commentary on Cipriano’s relationship to prescription drugs and his own mental health.
